Today Yonomi and Notion announced the integration of the Yonomi smartphone app and the Notion multisensor.
By working together, the two companies are taking a big step forward in making life with connected devices richer, yet simpler.
Yonomi’s smartphone app will now be able to discover Notion sensors (along with dozens of other, off the shelf, best of breed connected home devices) and include them in powerful daily routines to make users’ homes more aware and automated.
For instance, a Notion sensor may be placed on a liquor cabinet door and the Yonomi could cause the local connected lights and speakers to scold the kid and alert the parents.
Another example would be to use speakers and lights to alarm when Notion detects a window break.
“We believe that real time context about what’s happening in the home creates great value in device automation scenarios,” explained Kent Dickson, Co-founder and CEO of Yonomi. “Notion’s multisensors are a rich source of that contextual information.”
“At Notion, we are all about making your home more aware,” stated Brett Jurgens, Co-founder and CEO of Notion. “Yonomi is an excellent way to take that awareness and make it actionable, automatically."
Yonomi’s app is available today in the Google Play Store and soon in the Apple App Store. Notion integration with Yonomi will be available later this summer.
